GOVA’s third annual All-Hands Meeting to shine a spotlight on small business

GO Virginia Region 3 meeting will connect entrepreneurial and big business ecosystems

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (March 27, 2023 ) – On Thursday, May 4 at 5 p.m., GO Virginia (GOVA) Region 3 partners, businesses, community and elected leaders, entrepreneurs and educators will gather at The Prizery in South Boston for the third annual All-Hands Meeting to foster business-led economic development in the Commonwealth. The 2023 event seeks to connect the ecosystems of entrepreneurs and big business by shining a spotlight on small businesses and exploring how they can scale up or act as suppliers for larger companies.

“The annual All-Hands Meeting is the best example of Region 3’s superpower,” said GOVA Region 3 Council Chair Tim Clark. “We bring people together. By convening our community and breaking down the silos, we’ve been able to make great strides in the economic development of Southern Virginia. This year we celebrate connections between our businesses and our entrepreneurs because it takes growth of all types to support the continued development of our region.”

Micah White works as the Director of Business Development for Metropolitan Business League, known as MBL. Currently, he is leading an initiative in Brunswick County to support sustainable entrepreneurial ideas.

The event keynote will be delivered by Micah White, director of business development for the Metropolitan Business League (MBL) and founder of RVA Has Talent. White’s career includes 25-plus years in the entertainment industry as a stand-up comedian, host and philanthropist. In his role as director of the MBL, he spearheads an initiative in Brunswick County to support sustainable entrepreneurial ideas. In addition to White’s keynote, program highlights will include a regional entrepreneur panel discussion featuring Rudy’s Girl Media Founder Natalie Hodge, Big Fade Entertainment Founder Ernell Bellamy and Letterpress Communications Founder and Principal Ilsa Loeser, as well as a networking cocktail hour and dinner.

GOVA invites any and all who are interested in the prosperity of Region 3 to attend the 2023 All-Hands Meeting, welcoming representatives from the business, development, economy, education, finance, government and management sectors as well as others.
